January 13, 2012 - Kim Collette I am a little late to this game. But, I am glad I am now a part of it! I love the t.v. show Dexter! I had read about this show for years, but didn't really realize what I was missing until a few weeks ago. Thank goodness for dvd's! Since Christmas, I have completed watching the first 3 seasons and am about a 1/4 of the way through season four. I can't get enough.

Meet Dexter Morgan (who was cast perfectly with Michael C. Hall). By day he is a blood splatter analyst for the Miami Metro Police Department. But, by night, he takes on a different persona---a serial killer. But, the "twist" is...he isn't your "normal" serial killer. Dexter's victims all must be killers themselves who have killed someone without justifiable cause and probably would do so again. Dexter must always be sure that his target is guilty, and goes to extreme lengths to get undeniable proof of his victim's guilt. And, Dexter must never get caught. This is "The Code" Dexter lives by. Dexter learns to blend in with other people around him. He is able to fake "normal" emotions and maintain an appearance of great friend and neighbor, while satisfying his "Dark Passenger" (the name he has assigned to his urge to kill).

This is a well-conceived and well written show. I have not been disappointed in a single episode this far. I love that this character of Dexter is what we all would consider a "bad guy," however I find myself each episode rooting for Dexter to follow his code and not get caught. If you aren't a fan of this show.....I suggest picking up a season on won't be disappointed!

Until next time friends!
