Super Sunday

The Super Bowl is one of the most anticipated events of the year! The event has become more than just a game. There is family, food, funny commercials, halftime shows and puppy bowls. If you are like millions of others and are watching the game this Sunday impress your buddies with these fun facts!

*This year a 30-second commercial costs $3.5million, up $400,00 from last year (according to *8 million pounds of guacamole is consumed on Super Bowl Sunday *Along those lines, 14,500 tons of chips are eaten along with the guacamole. *Of the 10 most watched American television programs, 9 of them are Super Bowls. *The Super Bowl is measured in Roman numerals because a football season runs over 2 calendar years. *Over 700,000 footballs are produced annually for the NFL. 72 are used in the Super Bowl. *The NFL has a policy against holding Super Bowl games in stadiums that have a climate of less than 50 degrees, unless it is an enclosed stadium. *The Minnesota Vikings have played in 4 Super Bowls and has never held a lead in any of the 4 games. *Joe Montana has won the Super Bowl MVP, 3 times. *There are 4 teams that have never played in the Super Bowl: Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars and (Sadly since I am there fan....) The Cleveland Browns. *Heading into the game, The New York Giants have 3 Super Bowl titles (1986, 1990 and 2007). *On the other side of the ball, The New England Patriots have also won 3 Super Bowl titles (2001, 2003 and 2004).
