Kindle on Fire

May 10, 2012 - Kim Collette
I love my Kindle. It goes with me almost everywhere. How nice it is to just flip a switch and have the book you are reading at your fingertips. My Kindle is currently on fire due to the trilogy the Hunger Games. I know that I am way behind on my addiction to these books, but now I can't stop. The trilogy is Hunger Games, Catching Fire and MockingJay. I breezed through the first book and currently (for Kindle users, I'm at 96%) am about 3 chapters away from finishing the second book. And...I must say that I love these books! I can't wait to get the books read so I can watch the movies. Hunger Games and it's sequels are based on actual hunger games. The books are written in the voice of 16 year old Katniss Everdeen. She and her family live in the post-apocalyptic world in the country of Panem (where North America used to exist). The Capitol, is a highly advanced Metropolis which holds power over the rest of the nation. The Hunger Games are an annual event in which one boy and one girl aged 12 to 18 from each of the 12 districts are selected by a lottery to compete in a televised battle until only one person is left. So I know that Kindle will be "Catching Fire" so I can finish the book Catching Fire and start MockingJay. I can only hope that once I set my Kindle down, I won't be disappointed with the movies!

Until next time friends!
