Keep Calm. Those were the words I kept saying to myself last night and this morning. Football season is getting ready to kick-off. And, up until last night I couldn't wait. I was eagerly counting down the days. While watching my beloved Browns last night, I came to the realization that even though "Johnny Football" brought a lot of hype to Cleveland, the team itself is still a far cry from being a playoff contender. Neither quarterback last night had me dancing the jig. So once again we will have a pretty sound defense and an offense that will pretty much get booed off the field. I started thinking, here we go again. Another long, losing season for the Brownies. As if coming to that realization wasn't heartbreaking enough, the report of OSU starting quarterback Braxton Miller injuring his shoulder again started breaking in the news. Seriously? For once, the schedule for the Buckeyes was pretty good. A stiff test with Michigan State and that team up North, would be the only things stopping OSU for making it into the new BCS playoff system. Those games and of course.....and any injury to Braxton Miller. With news today coming that Miller is out for the season, today has been about as heartbreaking as yesterday. So my excitement for the beginning of football season has turned to trepidation. But, like any good fan, I will still break out my scarlet and grey for the Buckeyes and my brown and orange for the Browns. I will keep calm and just enjoy football for the love of the game.
