| | When you really start to feel your ageAugust 29, 2010 - Mike HughesFirst, let me say that I know I'm only 30, so I'm not old yet. But I can definitely say I'm starting to feel older. I came to this realization the other day when my daughter and I went for a dip in the pool. Like usual, I had our radio playing and decided to turn the knob to the oldies station. Growing up, my dad had me listen to the hits of his youth and I came to really enjoy the sounds of Motown, the British Invasion, etc. And the oldies station around here always played the hits fo the 50s, 60s and 70s. It had been a while since I switched it on and I was surprised to find some of the music playing isn't what I would classify as oldies. I distinctly noticed a decent amount of 80s music, music that I listen to while I was growing up. Then it hit me. What I listened to is not classified as oldies. If you sit and ponder that for the first time, it gets the ole wheels spinning in your mind. So while I'm not old yet, I'm certainly creeping my way toward it.
