COLUMBUS – Winning is becoming a tradition for a Guernsey Street school as the St. John Central Lady Irish track team captured their second consecutive Division III state title Saturday afternoon at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium

The Lady Irish was able to defend its gold by standing atop of the podium in both the 4x100 and 4x200 meter relays. The team comprised of Kylie Kidder, Emily Hawthorne, Alexis Campbell and Justene Delman finished with times of 49.62 and 1:43.21, respectively.

Coach Bubba Kapral’s squad managed to score 69 points in 11-of-13 events to edge Gates Mills Gilmour Academy (61).
