Please coach Tressel
EDITOR’S NOTE: This is an open letter to Ohio State head football coach Jim Tressel. Dear Coach: I have thoroughly enjoyed the job you’ve done since arriving on the Columbus campus some eight seasons ago. You’ve taken a well-established program to even greater heights with your recruiting and discipline. You’ve been a true gentleman every time you’ve visited Belmont Hills Country Club for the annual Buckeyes Boosters golf outing. Enough of the kudos. I’m just wondering somewhere deep in that heart of yours that bleeds Scarlet and Gray if you could find a way to grant me one wish for Saturday’s game with that hated team up north? Could you please, considering it’s Senior Day in the Horseshoe, start the beleaguered Todd Boeckman at quarterback after his final trip out of the tunnel? I think it’s only fitting that the fifth-year senior, who was all-Big Ten a season ago, be given his due.
