Bellaire SD has fewer taxpayers hence less tax revenue. Combined problems are seniors who have no vested interest in supporting schools, high level of welfare residents, and renters who pay noschool tax. The superintendent should be lauded for reducing expenses as far as he has been able.

They need to go to county commissioners meetings and ask why some of this gas and oil drilling revenue can't be used for the schools instead of constantly trying to tax people who are stretched to thin to afford any more taxes. This levy will continue to fail because people just can't afford more taxes. These are supposes to be public schools. The taxes that we already pay should be supporting the schools.

Yada, yada, yada - YAWN. Many of us taxpayers are tired of hearing about this and being harassed with this same issue. VOTE NO!
