4-H News

THE 4-H Centennials group met on March 1, at the Barnesville Youth Center with Dawn Warrick presiding. At the meeting they filled out re-enrollment papers, pledges were led by Jennifer Steele, Cloverbud fundraiser (bulbs) and projects were discussed. Members are paying for their own project books. The next club meeting will be held April 5 at the Barnesville Youth Center. Micaela Rockwell reporting.

THE 4-H Club, Stallions, met on March 8, at the Colerain Presbyterian Church with Vickie Temple, advisor and Luke Wharton, president, presiding. They discussed the clubs flower sales, and community service and going to Sienna Point Nursing Home. The club will meet on April 19 at the church to discuss the project books. Becca Theaker did the reporting.

THE BARNESVILLE Progressive Home Helpers 4-H club met Saturday, April 4, with 14 members and four advisors and eight visitors present. Roll call was answered by naming their "Favorite Easter Candy!"

Nick Fritter presided and Kortney Temple led the Pledge of Allegiance and the 4-H pledge.

Brooke Warner, Mariah and Megan Piley led the club in singing "The Littlest Worm."

Emily Rockwell red "Welcome Spring" for devotions.

Recreation was led by Andy and Arin Selmon.

Many of the members read health, safety, energy, and conservative reports.

Project books were passed out and members were encouraged to read through and begin work. Still project judging and livestock skillethon is July 21.

Rabbit Roundup is May 4. All rabbits must be there. No makeups.

All members are to give either a demonstration or illustrated talk at the May or June meeting.

Newspapers, magazines, telephone books, etc., are being collected and the money will go to 4-H camp Piedmont. Pop tabs are being collected for the Ronald McDonald House. The next meeting will be May 9.

The Barnesville Progressive Home Helpers held a meeting on March 14 at the Main Street United Church in Barnesville. The club worked on community service projects and are still working the newspaper recycling project.

The next meeting will be held on April11 at the Main Street United Methodist Church. Kara Brown will serve refreshments.
