Centerville Senior Center Christmas party Thursday

CENTERVILLE — The Centerville Senior Center has a busy December. It’s provided four angel gifts from Project Manna and its members are busy selling raffle tickets for a beautiful doll, a Longenberger basket, a NASCAR Corn Hole Toss game and a Snuggie wrap.
The center’s Christmas Party is Thursday. A covered-dish dinner will be served. Meat and beveridges will be furnished so bring your favorite holiday casserole, dessert or saled. There is also a $5 gift exchange.
Tht Senior Meeting will be Wednesday, Dec. 23 at 10:45 a.m. There will be an election of officers.
Bunco will be played on Dec. 30.
The center reminds you to remember seniors confined to their homes with cards and phone calls during the holidays.
Lunch is served daily at 11:30 a.m. through Belmont Senior Services, along with transportation to the center, educational programs, transportation to doctor’s appointments, as well as shopping trips.
Donna Steadman, the center’s director, reminds seniors that aid is available for heating bills through the Home Energy Assistance Program for those who qualify. Applications are on hand at the center if you need a copy.
The center will be closed Dec. 24-27 for the Christmas holiday.
