Vocational School students participate in safety program

December 30, 2009
Times Leader

Jefferson County Vocational School's Multimedia & Design Instructor Natalie Campana-Lucas and Criminal Justice Instructor Jamie Wells, and some of their students, recently teamed with the Ohio Highway Patrol, Jefferson County Health Department, State Farm Insurance, Wintersville Police and Photography by George in the "Partners for Child Seat Safety" fund raising event.

Mrs. Campana-Lucas's class, specifically, Juniors Dana Stills and Kristen Sheets, worked with the Ohio Highway Patrol and produced the banner that was used for the marketing of the event while Mrs. Wells and three of her students, spent several hours at the Ft. Steuben Mall in Steubenville collecting donations.

Funds raised from the event are being used to purchase child car seats. Training will be provided by certified representatives to parents on how to install and use the car seat safely.
