Students ‘Jump For Heart’

February 9, 2010
Times Leader

The students of St. Joseph Central in Bridgeport recently completed the "Jump For Heart" fund raiser. Before competing in the fundraiser, the kindergarten through eighth grade students worked hard to improve their jump rope skills in gym class. Our students raised $395.00 for the American Heart Association from their sponsors. The top student in each class received a prize. The top three overall winners received a certificate, ribbon and a shirt. The winners in each class are as follows: First grade - Adam Sommer; second grade - Maura Tiber; third grade - Angela Sommer; grade 4 - Lauren Neer; grade five - Alexa Coggins; grade six - Zachary Schnegg; grade seven - Fallon Doyle; and grade eight - Tiffany Tennant.

The overall winners were:

- Third place Alexa Coggins 599 jumps
