Spanner awarded

Natalie Spanner of Bethel Park, Pa., has been awarded a full scholarship for four years of study through Seton Hill University's Division of Visual and Performing Arts.

Spanner, a senior at Bethel Park High School, is the daughter of Marty and Paula Spanner of Bethel Park. She is the granddaughter of Paul and Shirley Moczek of Martins Ferry and Emma Spanner of Shadyside.

She plans to major in theater business and theater performance at Seton Hill, which is located in Greensburg, Pa.

The university created the Seton Scholars Program in 2007 to recognize outstanding academic achievement by incoming freshmen in the traditonal undergraduate program at Seton Hill. Seton Scholars receive full-tuition scholarships that are renewable for four years of study at Seton Hill and are valued at more than $100,000 each.

Scholarships are awarded annually by each of the universitys four academic divisions. For the 2010-11 academic year, Seton Hill will award eight full-tuition scholarships, two from each academic division.
