BRIDGEPORT - Don and Kate (Katherine) Winland celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary June 19. They were united in marriage June 19, 1955 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kirkwood with the late Pastor Chester Bird officiating.
Winland, son of the late John and Opal Winland, is retired from the Yorkville Plant of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel and served with the U.S. Navy. His wife, the former Katherine Green, is the daughter of the late Donald and Gladys Green.
They have three daughters, Marcie Wilson and her husband Kevin, Peggy Mehlman and her husband Jim, and Karen King and her husband Ralph, all of Colerain. They have seven grandchildren: Jared and Darek Wilson, James and Parker Mehlman and Joshua, Courtney and Nicole King.
A family dinner will be held in their honor.
