Bill and Sue Patsche of St. Clairsville will celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary July 6. They were united in marriage July 6 , 1965 by the late Martha Grimm in Winchester, Va. and had their marriage blessed on July 23, 1965 at St. Joseph's Church in Wolfhurst. They have two Papal blessings signed by Pope John Paul and Pope Benedict, celebrating their 25th and 40th anniversaries.
Patsche is a retired Martins Ferry Chief of Police and a retired Technology Agent from the National Institute of Justice. He currently works from home, part time, as a technology analyst for the California Center for Advanced Technology and the Office of Naval Research. He is also a member of the Ohio Jail Board and the Prison Technology Advisory Committee.
His wife, Susan, is a former home health and hospice nurse and is currently employed at Sunset Health Care, Adena as a restorative nurse. She was previously employed by Tender Loving Care Home Care and Hospice.
They are the parents of two daughters: Patty at home, and Rebecca Kwiatkowski (Michael) of Colerain. They have two grandchildren, Madison Marie and Gage Michael.
A family dinner will be hosted by their daughter Becky and her family.
They renewed their vows at St. Frances Cabrini Church by Father Dale Tornez on July 3.
