Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Josiah D. Eby, a 2004 graduate of Monroe Central High School, Woodsfield, Ohio, alongside 800 fellow Marines attached to the 3rd Battalion 25th Marines(3/25), stationed in Moundsville, W.Va., recently deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
The 3rd Battalion is a reserve infantry unit whose mission is to repel the enemy assault by fire and close combat. The battalion's missions is to remain combat ready in the case of a national emergency when they are not deployed.
