Yeager: 50th wedding anniversary

YORKVILLE - Charles L. (Chuck) and Mary Mae (Hutchison-Schwender) Yeager celebrated their 50th anniversary on June 10. They were united in marriage on June 10, 1961, with the Rev. John Smith, of Bloomingdale, officiating. Kenneth M. and Betty Sempkowski stood up for the couple.

Yeager is the son of Charles H. Yeager of Martins Ferry and the late Margaret Yeager. He is retired from Western Auto. His wife is the daughter of the late Faye and Ralph Taylor and Earl Hutchison. She is retired from Missouri Electric Company. The couple lived in the area most of their lives before moving to Kansas City, Mo. and retiring. They currently live in Old Town, Fla.

They are the parents of five children: Debbie (Rob) Murphy of Yorkville; Linda (Bob) Mayhugh of Yorkville; Art and Lori Schwender of Lake Wales, Fla.; Robert "Herbie" (Cheryl) Schwender of Neffs; and Ralph Schwender of Jacksonville, Fla. The couple also has 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
