St. John's United Church of Christ, at 51705 German Ridge Road in Powhatan Point, will be holding its 20th Annual German Ridge Jamboree on Saturday, July 23, from 11a.m. to 9 p.m.
This year, the entertainment will consist of:
Lacy and the Attitude Band from 11:15 a.m.. to 1:30 p.m.
Kyle Earley from 1:45 - 2:45 p.m.
Just for Fun Line Dancers from 3 - 3:30 p.m.
DJ Fuzion (Karaoke) from 3:45 - 5 p.m.
Not So Rich and Famous from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.
Matt VanFossen from 7 - 9 p.m.
The emcee for the day will be Tony Summers.
Other events will include:
Horseshoe pitching contests at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Corn hole tournaments at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.
The Balloon Man from 1 - 6 p.m.
Children's games at 1 p.m. and 3p.m. (No charge to children. Prizes will be awarded)
Cake walk from 4:30 - 5 p.m.
Quilt show from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Bake sale from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Flea market from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Craft sale from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Fresh garden produce and cheese from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Door prizes will be given throughout the day.
The menu will consist of: Roast pork, sauerbraten, bratwurst, hot dogs/kraut dogs/coney dogs, sloppy joes, cold chicken sandwiches, cabbage and noodles, real mashed potatoes, regular potato salad, hot German potato salad, sauerkraut, applesauce, homemade ice cream, pie and much more - served from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Handicapped parking is available and shuttle service is also available. A wheelchair is available if needed.
