Paxton, Shanks

Mr. And Mrs. C. Timothy Paxton of Bannock announce the engagement of their daughter, Lacey Mae, to Nicholas Alexander Shanks, son of Ms. Diana Mowder Shanks and Mr. Charles Shanks of St. Clairsville.

The bride-to-be is a 2001 graduate of St. Clairsville High School and studied psychology at Ohio University. As an eight-year veteran of the Ohio Army National Guard, she served two tours of duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Lacey is employed by the Health Plan of the Upper of Ohio Valley and is an independent distributor for Premier Designs jewelry.

Her fiance is a 2001 graduate of St. Clairsville High School and received his certification in underground mining. Nick is employed as a longwall foreman at the The Ohio Valley Coal Company's Number Six mine in Centerville.
