ST. CLAIRSVILLE Holly's Dress Boutique opened its doors this past Wednesday with a wide selection for dress shoppers close to home.
According to Holly Rauschenberg, owner, the shop offers fashions for homecoming, proms, weddings, first communions and other events. She said they carry quality brand names in dresses, purses and accessories.
She added that since Kaufman's in Wheeling closed, she saw a lack of convenient boutique shopping spots in the vicinity. She noted that there are 26 high schools in within an hour from the shop.

Holly Rauschenberg, owner of Holly’s Dress Boutique, gets things ready for opening day at her new shop in St. Clairsville.
She said the store will pride itself on quality merchandise and customer service.
"They'll enjoy the whole shopping experience. We're very customer friendly," she said. "It's a hometown boutique."
She noted there has been considerable interest in the project. Holly's Dress Boutique will be open in time for September's Homecoming. As an added feature, the shop will feature a register to ensure no two girls in the same high school wear the same dress.
Rauschenberg said she hopes to eventually include a jewelry line.
The shop has five employees. There are six dressing rooms.
The grand opening is set for Aug. 30, but doors officially opened last week.
The business is located at 111 S. Marietta St. Hours are Monday through Friday, noon to 7 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday 1-5 p.m. The number is (740) 296-5521.
