Williams: 50th wedding anniversary

Ken and Nancy Williams will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 9. They were married Sept. 9, 1961, at the First Baptist Church in their home town of Titusville, Pa. They have resided in Newark and Toronto for 15 years each and in St. Clairsville for 20 years.

Nancy is the daughter of the late Weldon and Joanne Nelson. She is a retired administrative church secretary. Ken is the son of the late Ken and Edith Williams. He retired after 38 years as an electrical engineer for American Electric Power. He now serves as the coordinator in the St. Clairsville Area Food Pantry. Together, they serve in East Richland Friends Church ministries and various community endeavors as well as St. Clairsville and Belmont County National Day of Prayer coordinators.

They are the parents of Merit Joanne Williams of Newark and Steven Williams and his wife, Nancy, of Brunswick, Ohio. They have three grandchildren: Patrick Williams and Rachel and Sydney Williams.
