ST. CLAIRSVILLE - The St. Clairsville Area Chamber of Commerce will have a new executive director beginning Jan 16.
Amy Aspenwall, who has served as the chamber's director over the past several years, will step down from her position at the end of this coming week.
Aspenwall will begin her duties at a new position with Williams Lea in Wheeling beginning Jan. 16.
Aspenwall began her duties with the St. Clairsville Area Chamber of Commerce in April of 2005. She started out as an assistance, but soon after was named the chamber administrator. The top position with the chamber of commerce later became that of executive director.
In her position, she helped coordinate all chamber activities and events, and served as a liaison between the chamber and the general public, helping to make a wealth of information available about St. Clairsville area businesses that are members of the chamber of commerce.
"I've enjoyed my nearly seven years with the chamber and will forever treasure many happy memories," she said. "I thank the board of directors and all the members for their cooperation and assistance. I will miss them."
Aspenwall said she wishes everyone connected with the chamber continued success.
The chamber board is expected to announce a new executive director as early as next week.
