Riesbeck’s ads to run on Wednesdays

New sales periods will benefit customers, stock in stores

January 29, 2012
Times Leader

ST. CLAIRSVILLE - Riesbeck's weekly ad will be inserted in The Times Leader as well as many other area newspapers each Wednesday beginning Feb. 1.

The weekly ad will begin on Thursdays and be valid through the following Wednesdays.

Riesbeck's ad previously was inserted on Sundays and was valid Monday through Sunday.

Company officials said they are making this change to better serve their customers.

How does this change enable Riesbeck's to better serve their customers? With the busy lifestyles of today's consumer between 60 percent and 65 percent of our weekly sales are done from Friday through Sunday. With the ad previously ending on Sunday, the stores were somewhat in transition from the ad ending on Sunday and the new ad starting on Monday and this created some out-of-stocks on ad merchandise and the sales area not always looking its best.

With the new starting day of Thursdays, the stores will be in much better overall condition over the peak shopping days made up of Friday, Saturday and Sunday and there will be fewer out-stocks as well. The ad will continue to offer great weekly featured items with ad pricing and special one- and two-day sales, which are a customer favorite, will continue to be held at various times throughout the year, company officials said.

You can also visit the Riesbeck Food Markets Web site at www.riesbeckfoods.com, which is becoming increasingly popular.

"We're committed to always be working to make our stores better for our customers, and this change is part of that commitment," said Leo Braido, director of retail for Riesbeck Food Markets. "Additional positive changes are planned as well including even more emphasis on customer service and bakery, deli, meat and produce departments.

"We're working hard to make our stores the best they can be day-in and day-out, and that focus is ongoing."
