ST. CLAIRSVILLE An in-store clinic providing convenient access to basic health care services held its grand opening celebration at the Wal-Mart store in St. Clairsville on Monday.
Nearly a dozen people gathered in front of "The Clinic at Wal-Mart," located just inside the main entrance of the store, for an official ribbon-cutting ceremony. The new walk-in clinic - the first of its kind in the Ohio Valley - is operated by Ohio Valley Health Services & Education Corp.
For busy customers who need care, especially after working long hours or on weekends, the clinic will treat common health ailments such as flu, ear aches, insect bites and stings, minor wounds, sinus infections and upper respiratory infections. It offers routine services that include, but are not limited to, blood sugar testing, cholesterol screenings, common vaccinations and camp and school physicals. The clinic will provide affordable access to basic health care services, seven days a week, with no appointment necessary.
