‘War on Women’

March 14, 2012
Times Leader

Dear Editor,

Surely the Democrats can get serious about the issues facing this nation...or can they?

Democrats in Ohio are blasting Republicans for what they call a "war against women".

With the focus on reproductive rights, recently former Gov. Ted Strickland said, "Republicans are attacking our women and we're not going to put with with it, are we men?"

Where was the "good ol' boys club" when Sarah Palin became a lightning rod for criticism?

Let's set the table straight, who started the "culture war?" You guessed it...the Democrats...just after Mitt Romney had the birth control card played on him during a Republican debate. takes two to tango, if the Democrats cannot find a single woman to say that Republicans denied her access of birth control, then it is long past time for Democrats to either put up or clam up.

On the other hand, if they just want to sling a lot of mud in Republican direction, and hope that some of it sticks, then that should tell the voters a lot about the white wind driven snow...and the Democrat character.
