Worst habit? Biting my nails.

Favorite quote(s)? "Pain is temporary, quitting lasts forever." -Lance Armstrong

"Whether you believe you can or believe you can't, you're probably right." -Henry Ford

What is your cell phone ring tone? My phone is always on vibrate.

How many texts do you send/receive per month? Way too many.

What is your favorite hobby in your spare time? Hanging out with friends, family, and my boyfriend.

Favorite memory in your sport, and why? Qualifying for the state cross country meet this past fall. I've wanted to make it there since I was in the seventh grade and I worked really hard to get there. My hard work finally paid off. It was an unbelievable feeling. I plan on working hard and making it to state for track.

What's something no one would believe about you? When my sister and I were in the womb, my umbilical cord disconnected from my mom and reattached to my twin sister's. She literally saved my life.

Favorite athlete, and why? Chris Spielman. I'm a huge Buckeye fan. I've admired him since I was little. Not only was he a fantastic football player, but he also founded the Stefanie Spielman Fund for breast cancer which raises a lot of money for breast cancer research.

Best advice you've ever received? Nothing good in life is easy. You have to work hard to get what you want.

Who do you admire most, and why? My grandfather, father, and brother. They've always been there for me and taught me that hard work will always pay off in the end and to never give up on my dreams.

What's your favorite part of your story? My favorite part about my sport is the fact that it's a hobby that I will continue to have for the rest of my life. I'm never going to quit running.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? I see myself finishing up grad school, beginning my career, training for marathons and looking forward to starting a family.

CREDENTIALS: Tara swept the 1600 and 3200 meter runs at the Bellaire Early Bird and broke two Shadyside High School records in the process. She won with times of 5:16.3 and 11:19.2.
