In 1971, several area farmers who were members of the St. Clairsville Ruritan Club came to the aid of fellow Ruritan member Jerome Ebbert of Ebbert Fruit Farm, St. Clairsville, to do his plowing while he recovered from surgery. Pictured from left are: Glenn Ault, Bill Schaal, Charles Winzenreid, Harold Hinkle, and Ebbert. All are deceased, except Ebbert. The St. Clairsville Ruritan celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2011.
