Arno honored during health care convention

SHADYSIDE - Ending Saturday, this week is National Nursing Home Week.

One employee at a local nursing facility has made it her life's work to improve the lives of residents and their families at the Shadyside Care Center.

Judi Arno, the activities director at the Shadyside Care Center, gets along with everyone and is a great person to work with according to Joni Fox, the administrator at the center.

Shadyside Care Center Activities Director Judi Arno was recently honored at the Ohio Health Care Association’s annual convention. She is pictured with fiancee Dave Myers.

"She is a valuable asset to our facility and has made a difference in the lives of our residents by providing them with activities that bring fun and enjoyment to their lives and leaves a smile on their faces," Fox said.

Arno began her career as a nurses aide at the center 27 years ago and completed her activities curriculum to take her current position five years later.

"Judi's most important accomplishment has been the individualized activities that she provides our residents by listening to their interests and backgrounds," Fox said.

Arno was recently honored at the Ohio Health Care Association's annual convention during the celebration luncheon.
