God’s Peace

Dear Editor

Here I am again Lord asking for your help in preserving freedom in our country. You gave us a beautiful country where we now have so much. Maybe we have too much. I know many have forgotten who You are and what You have done.

The Ten Commandments have disappeared and therefore so has our conscience which means there is no right or wrong. Everyone is now told if something makes you happy go ahead and do it.

Families have fallen apart. No one is teaching our children about God and, in fact, the word God has disappeared from the schools. Children and adults have decided that their electronic toys are more important than YOU. Most people have placed YOU in a closet and only open the door when they really need your help.

Possessions do not bring happiness. So many people are depressed and unhappy. Drugs are prevalent and we read about suicides daily. WHY!!! People have forgotten who You are and don't seem to care about anything but themselves.

How can we expect You to hear our prayers and expect your help when you are locked in that closet and the key has been thrown away.

Our country and our freedoms are disintegrating daily. We need to somehow wake up the people and get them on the right path. Lord, will you help us in this endeavor? Bring back the family unit so that someone can teach our youngsters what is right and what is wrong.

Our President and our Congress are not listening to us. Wake up the people to go and vote and to replace all of these elected officials with a new crew of people who are God fearing and will follow the Constitution which will guarantee life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for all.

Rejoice in the Lord always! The Lord is near. Dismiss all anxiety from your minds. Present your needs to God in every form of prayer and in petition full of gratitude. Then God's peace, which is beyond all understanding. will stand guard over your hearts and minds, in Christ Jesus.
