Mighty Boeing B-17

July 5, 2012
Times Leader

MIGHTY BOEING B-7 Flying Fortress of the World War II Bomber that flew missions in a very large numbers into the heart of Nazi Germany. Notice the single .50 caliber machine gun in the "Fore Front" Beem position, and Betty Grable, the World War II, pin-up girl. Mostly all B-17s had their own logo painted on the front. These B-17s also had the Norden Bomb sight, known to be reputed "estimated" to drop a bomb in a pickle barrel at 10,000 feet. Submitted by Carl Krob
