THIS PHOTO shows Carl Krob crouching down next to the B-17 Flying Fortress Belly Gunner Turret heavy machine gun. One of the original pilots told him, "This is not a place to be when coming off of a bomb run with a crippled landing gear." The inside of the turret was a very cramped area.
