WOODSFIELD - An interim licensed administrator for the Monroe County Care Center was named Friday during an emergency meeting of the county commissioners.
Named to the interim post was Constance L. Eyman of Eastlake. Commissioner John Pyles said Eyman was obtained through LeaderStat, which provides services of interim licensed administrators.
Commissioners entered into a 30-day contract with Eyman, effective Friday.
Prior to that action, commissioners approved a motion not to sign a contract for Kelley Hill of Templeton Health Care. She had been working at the center under an agreement since January.
Before any action was taken, commissioners were in executive session with Prosecuting Attorney James Peters.
Pyles said the commissioners decided not to enter into a contract regarding Hill and Templeton Health Care as the center was "not being managed in the direction that we saw fit."
The Monroe officials have been in contact with the County Commissioners Association of Ohio about the administrative post, and the association informed them of LeaderStat and its services regarding an interim administrator, according to Pyles.
Indications are that the commissioners will consider several companies concerning an administrator. Pyles said they already had talked to two companies and probably would talk to more.
In her letter to commissioners, Eyman noted that she is both a licensed nursing home administrator and licensed social worker in the state of Ohio. She has 10 years of senior management at an executive director level.
She pointed out that she has served "in the roles of an administrator, assistant administrator, social service director, social work consultant, sales & marketing; mental health counselor, mental health intake worker, in a variety of settings including nursing homes, assisted living, MRDD , mental health, adult day care, group homes."
Eyman has been a licensed social worker since 1981 and a licensed nursing home administrator since 1996.
Prior to this year, Share had been involved in the operation of the care center.
