THORNVILLE, Ohio - The spirit of the Grateful Dead will be alive and well at Legend Valley this Labor Day Weekend when Dark Star Orchestra plays host to the first Dark Star Jubilee - featuring many special guests, including original members of the Grateful Dead.
The big event will take place this Friday through Sunday, Aug. 31 through Sept. 3, at Legend Valley (formerly the Buckeye Lake Music Center), located just off Interstate 70 about 20 minutes east of Columbus. The festival will debut at the very site in Ohio that was home to some of the most legendary Grateful Dead concerts in the band's storied history.
Not just a Grateful Dead tribute band, Dark Star Orchestra has been entertaining fans for many years and has established itself as the nation's premier band when it comes to bringing the Grateful Dead's musical experience to life. On stage, Dark Star Orchestra - or DSO - recreates epic Dead shows of the past, staying true not only to the set lists but also the jubilant vibe and unmistakable magic of the scene that generations of "Deadheads" continue to fondly embrace.
