Monroe Central remained unbeaten in girls' high school volleyball action with a clean sweep of Caldwell Saturday.
The Seminoles (5-0, 2-0 PVC) won by scores of 25-20, 25-11 and 25-9.
Chelsie Roberts led the way for the winners with 13 points, four of which were aces, while also contributing nine digs, half-a-dozen blocks and five kills. Amanda Haslam added 12 points and 10 digs, while Cameron Brock and Melanie Stimpert evenly split eight markers. Stimpert had four aces among per points, while also supplying seven assist. Brock added four helpers and a pair of blocks.
Also reaching the stat sheet were Anne LaFollette with three kills and two blocks. Chelsie Tewanger had four kills.
The JV Seminoles also won, 25-8, 22-25, and 25-18.
Monroe Central hosts River Monday.
Sweeps Buckeye Trail
At Old Washington, the Cadets (5-1, 3-1 PVC) prevailed by scores of 25-15, 25-13 and 25-13 over the host Warriors (2-2, 2-1).
Josie Hensley had four points, seven kills and four digs for Buckeye Trail. Lynsey Beros added 16 assists, nine digs and two points.
Kelsey Beros had eight digs, seven kills and two markers.
Deidra Combs scored 20 points and 12 kills to lead Fort Frye. Allie Hesson had 22 assists.
