MORRISTOWN - Thomas Chrysler Dodge Jeep recently came to the aid of Union Local High School, conducting a fundraiser during the school's Back to School Fair that raised $2,560 for the athletic department.

Union Local students and their families participated in a Dodge Booster Club Fundraising event that featured drivers paying $20 a chance to test drive some of the new lineup of Dodge vehicles.

Robert Thomas from Thomas Chrysler Dodge Jeep said his dealership brought over a new Dodge Ram, Dart, Avenger and Journey.

Because of the lengthy line for certain vehicles, Thomas said they opted to have participants take a lap around the school grounds for their trip.

"The Dodge brand and our dealers are committed to giving back to the communities where we do business," said Reid Bigland?, President and CEO - Dodge Brand, Chrslyer Group LLC. "That is why we're proud to support organizations that encourage student development and growth."

"We love working with the parents and students in our community," said Thomas. "We were very happy with the community turn out at the Dodge Booster Club school fundraiser.

"It is our pleasure to present the contribution check to Union Local in the amount of $2,560. We also enjoyed the community's enthusiastic response to our new 2012 Dodge Journey crossover, Dodge Ram, Dodge Dart and Dodge Avenger."

Union Local Athletics Director and football coach Mark Cisar was greatful for the assistance in helping to generate funds for the athletics department.

"This really helps us out," Cisar said.

The Dodge brand donated nearly $467,000 to high school booster clubs last year.
