COSTUMES were appropriate for Pioneer Days celebrated several years ago in St. Clairsville. Apparel of some of these unidentified individuals appears geared to the early days of the National Road through the Belmont County seat. There were, however, no stagecoaches on the National Road during Pioneer Days although that road still runs through the city. The St. Clairsville Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
