Martin, Starr

Amanda Gail Martin and B. A. Starr were united in marriage on Saturday, Oct. 6 at 3:30 p.m. in East Richland Evangelical Friends Church, St. Clairsville with Pastor Jerry Wenger officiating the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Jeff and Gigi Martin of St. Clairsville, formerly of Wheeling. She is the granddaughter of Joan Martin of St. Clairsville, and the late Charles E. Martin, and the late George J. and Margaret L. Heitz, all formerly of Wheeling.

The groom is the son of Bruce Starr and Theresa Starr, both of Bethesda. He is the grandson of Mary Lucas and the late Lawrence "Bub" Lucas of Bethesda, the late Cecil Starr, Sr., formerly of St. Clairsville, and the late Kenneth and Frances Eggar, formerly of Barnesville.

Caitlin Hieronimus and Casey Martin served as maids of honor, and Zach Mason and Jake Tacosik served as best men. Other attendants were Heidi Clifford, Heather Thompson, Nicole Carpenter, Hayley Devienzio, Jess Hale, Lauren Huggins, Amy Mason, Mindy Nicholes, Brad Applegarth, Kyle Blackman, Michael Carpenter, Justin Clifford, Kelvin Girty, Chance Nicholes and Scott Thompson. Ringbearers were Brody and Jace Clifford. Flowergirl was Kylee Thompson. Seth Smith, Colter and Tyler Thompson attended the programs.

A reception was held at the James E. Carnes Center, St. Clairsville.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of John Marshall High School, a 2008 graduate of West Virginia Northern Community College with an associate of applied science degree and a 2008 graduate of Wheeling Hospital School of radiology technology. She is employed as a CT technologist at Wheeling Hospital and Barnesville Hospital.

The groom is a 2004 graduate of Union Local High School. He attended Hocking College and is an Ohio pro-staff member of Mid-west White Tail. He is employed with Quality Environmental of Morristown.

Following a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple will reside in Bethesda.
