1983 - KICK-OFF RACE at Wheeling Downs to celebrate the upcoming First Italian Festival. The Committee was presented a beautiful crystal plaque to the winner. The plaque was donated by Joe Pappano and hand cutting donated by Sonny Sickles.
P.S. The Quiniela paid $72 and Pappano had two eyes, lost one the first day of the first festival.
