Belmont burglary suspects arraigned

ST. CLAIRSVILLE - Belmont County Common Pleas Court saw numerous burglary and drug possession cases Thursday.

Judge John M. Solovan II presided.

Michael Coury Pyles, 25, 429 Annadale Ave., Moundsville, pleaded not guilty to two counts of burglary, felonies of the second degree, one count of theft and one count vandalism, felonies of the fifth degree, all occurring Feb. 28, 2012.

He also pleaded not guilty to two counts of safecracking, a felony of the fourth degree occurring Oct. 16, 2011. He faces a maximum of 21 years. A status conference was set for Nov. 9, with plea agreement Dec. 21 and trial Jan. 8. Bond was set at $25,000.

His co-defendant, Brandon M. Elliott, 21, 41 East 34th St., Shadyside, pleaded not guilty to complicity, a felony of the second degree, and safecracking, a felony of the fourth degree, both occurring Feb. 28. Status conference was set for Nov. 9, with plea agreement Dec. 21 and trial Dec. 27. A recognizance bond was set.

Antoinette Marie Kidd, 22, 4285 Harrison St., Bellaire, pleaded not guilty to one count possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree occurring July 1. Status conference was set for Oct. 26, with plea agreement Nov. 9 and trial Nov. 29. A recognizance bond was set.

Veleria Washington, 26, 53 Gullette Lane, Weirton, pleaded not guilty to possession of drugs, a felony of the third degree occurring Aug. 26, with a forfeiture specification of $3,000. Pre-trial was set for Nov. 5, with plea agreement Feb. 19, and trial March 7. Bond was set at $5,000.

Keith Edward Smith, 33, 57550 New Cut Road, Shadyside, pleaded not guilty to one count burglary, a felony of the second degree occurring July 15. A status conference was set for Nov. 9, with plea agreement Dec. 7 and trial Dec. 20. A recognizance bond was set.

Racardo Maurice Smith, 23, 2309 Eoff St., Wheeling, pleaded not guilty to one count felonious assault, a felony of the second degree occurring Aug. 25. Status conference was set for Nov. 9, with plea agreement Nov. 30 and trial Dec. 6. His $25,000 bond was continued.

Randall Edward Taylor, 56, 41513 Mt. Hope Road, Flushing, pleaded not guilty to possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree, and OVI with a specification of numerous prior DUIs, a felony of the third degree, both occurring Sept. 15. Pre-trial was set for Nov. 5, with plea agreement Nov. 19 and trial Nov. 27. Bond was set at 15,000.

Vallis Eugene Stephen, 45, 617 Bond Avenue, Barnesville, currently incarcerated, pleaded not guilty to one count domestic violence, a felony of the third degree occurring Aug. 18. Pre-trial was set for Nov. 5, with plea agreement Jan. 7 and trial Jan. 17.

A warrant was issued for Samuel Clifford Moore, 39, 307 Bridgeport.
