GREEN, Kenneth “Kenny,”

GREEN, Kenneth "Kenny," 82, of Bridgeport, OH, died Monday, October 15, 2012 at Wheeling Hospital.

He was born in Powhatan Point, OH, on June 15, 1930, a son of the late Newell K. and Vina Florida (Moser) Green.

He was a store manager for the Kroger Co., with 36 years of service, retiring from the Martins Ferry store; a member of Lancaster Chapel United Methodist Church; a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War; NRA member; Colerain V.F.W. Post No. 8848; Bridgeport Blue Lodge No. 181; F&AM; Disabled American Veterans Bellaire No. 112; Osiris Shrine of Wheeling Royal Order of Jesters Wheeling Court No. 13. Kenny was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. He enjoyed motor homing and traveled extensively.

Kenny is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Wanda (Knight) Green; a son, Doug (Cheryl) Green of Ostrander, OH; two daughters: Susan Demas of Mt. Dora, FL, and Kelly (Frank) Westphal of Hilliard, OH;; two sisters: Juanita (Derward) Dickson and Nancy Hopkins, both of Powhatan Point; three grandchildren: Mackenzie (Jeremy) Gillespie of Columbus, OH, Ashley Green of Ostrander, and George (Katie) Demas of FL.

Friends will be received Friday, October 19, 2012 at Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, Ohio, 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m., with Rev. Roger Doty, officiating. Military Honors will be at 12:45 p.m. at the funeral home by the VFW Belmont County Honor Guard.

Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
