CARPENTER, Doris Eula, 92, of Wheeling, WV, died Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehab.
She was born October 16, 1920, in Belmont, OH, daughter of the late Jesse Leroy Masters and Olga Marie Pancoast Masters.
She was a 1937 graduate of Belmont High School and attended Cincinnati Bible Seminary. Doris was devoted to her church as a Sunday School Superintendent, teacher, organist, and pianist. She was a long time member of her church Missionary Society.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Walter Carpenter; son, Leslie Raymond Carpenter, sisters, Alice Corrine Haas, Evelyn Masters Patterson, and Jessie Marie Masters Mullen; brothers, Loring A. Masters and Donald Arlo Masters.
Doris is survived by her sons, Larry (Cathy) Carpenter of Wheeling, WV and Gary (Jennifer) Carpenter of Elizabeth, PA; sisters, Francis Iona Masters Wilkins of Barnesville, OH, and Marlene Masters Smith of Bethesda, OH; grandchildren, Belinda (Neil) Armstrong, Lisa (Chris) George, Amy (Dan) Beyer, and Daniel Carpenter; great-grand children, Dylan, Marissa, Zayne, Maddy, Levi, and Brady.
The family would especially like to thank Steve and Dot Johnson for all the love and care they gave to Doris over the years.
Friends may visit, Thursday 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m., Kelly Kemp Braido & Patron Funeral Home, 322 North Main Street, Bethesda, OH. Minister Roger Murfin will be officiating. Interment will follow at Chestnut Level Cemetery, Belmont, OH.
