SIDON, Harry D., 87, of Bellaire, OH, died Saturday, November 10, 2012.
He was born July 14, 1925, in Bellaire, a son of the late Dominic and Julia Mancini Sidon.
Harry was the owner/ operator of the former Sidon's Pallett and Building Supplies of Bellaire, a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, a member of St. John Catholic Church and the Sons of Italy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers; John, Hugo, Sam, Tony, Mike and Josh, also four sisters; Jean Ward, Mary Snyder, Rosie Jewell and Minnie Guerrio.
Surviving are his loving wife of 58 years, Rosemary Kolesar Sidon, of Bellaire, a sister, Carmela Mattozzi, of Oregon, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald (Frances) Kolesar of El Cajon, CA, and Donnelly (Joan) Kolesar of Marietta, CA and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 37th St., Bellaire. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Fr. Daniel Heusel as celebrant. Burial follows in St. Anthony Cemetery, Blaine, OH.
A vigil service will be held at 3:45 and a Sons of Italy service at 6 p.m. in the funeral home.
