RAPP, Martha G. "Martie" (Hasenauer), 84, of Wheeling, W.Va., died Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in the comfort of her home with her family.

Martha was born April 15, 1928, in Wheeling, a daughter of the late William and Marie (Hellstern) Hasenauer.

She was a former employee of Sterling Drug and a 17-year employee of the Washington Avenue Foodland. Martha was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Wheeling. She was also a member of the Sightless Workers Guild, and AARP. The gift of sewing for her daughters and family was her favorite hobby.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Harold J. Rapp; two brothers, William Hasenauer and John Hasenauer; and one sister, Claire Hasenauer.

She is survived by four daughters, Maureen (Joseph) Coleman, Marilyn (Jim) Kleeh, Marla (Robert) Welling and Maria (Edward) Stein; one sister, Mary Rushkevich; 10 grandchildren, Jodi (Shawn) Carder, Stephanie (Mike) Hockenberry, Jesse (Andrea) Kleeh, Eric (Crystal) Welling, Robert Coleman, Joseph (Davina) Coleman II, Justin (Barbara) Welling, Kurt (Megan) Stein, Shay Stein and Crystal Kleeh; nine great- grandchildren, Nathan Coleman, Logan Kleeh, Kayden Coleman, Lexey Kleeh, Isabella Welling, Michala Hockenberry, Paige Coleman, Braxton Coleman and Paisley Kleeh; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends.

There will be no visitation. Friends are invited to the Mass of Christian burial on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church with the Rev. Antony Raju as celebrant. Entombment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger St., Wheeling, W.Va.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Sightless Workers Guild, 3318 Eoff St., Wheeling, WV 26003; the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, 159 Edgington Lane, Wheeling, WV 26003; Catholic Charities of West Virginia, 2000 Main St., Wheeling WV 26003; and to Valley Hospice, 10686 State Route 150, Rayland, OH 43943.
