Mallory Barbara Gertscher and Alan James Bergstresser were united in marriage at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 7, at First Presbyterian Church in Martins Ferry. The Rev. David Stammerjohn and the Rev. Dr. Bill N. Lawrence officiated the double ring ceremony. The Rev. Lawrence also officiated at the wedding ceremony of the bride's parents.
The bride is the daughter of Larry and Marjorie Gertscher of St. Clairsville. The bride's grandparents are Mary Gertscher of St. Clairsville and the late Leo Gertscher and the late Grant and Sara Wilson. The groom is the son of Arthur and Judie Bergstresser of Berea, Ohio.
Brittney Hermann was maid of honor and Arthur Bergstresser, Jr., brother of the groom, served as best man. Other attendants included Emily Kavanaugh, Megan Lakritz, Claire Van Kirk, Rebecca Brotzmann, Lauren Gertscher, Diana Gertscher, Lauren Higginbotham, Jon Higginbotham, Ryan Hozelton, Todd Bush, Nate Arida, Dave Swan, Ryan Higginbotham, Drew Higginbotham and Aden Bergstresser. The flower girls were Brooke, Ella, and Hannah Tenke. The ring bearer was Aaron Bergstresser.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of St. Clairsville High School and a 2007 graduate of Miami University. She received a master's degree in education in 2008 and an educational specialist degree in 2010 from Kent State University. She is currently employed as a school psychologist at Springfield Local Schools in Akron, Ohio.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of Berea High School and a 2007 graduate of Miami University with a bachelor of science degree in business. He is currently employed as a lead analyst for American Greeting Corporation in Cleveland, Ohio.
After a wedding trip to The Caves in Negril, Jamaica, the couple resides in Brecksville, Ohio.
