SWISHER, Vonda Lee, 80, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Saturday, December 22, 2012 in Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling.
She was born May 2, 1932 in Alliance, Ohio, daughter of the late Clarence and Della Shears Howell.
Vonda was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and was known to many as "Gram." She was a former employee of Home Pizza and Imperial Clevite. She was a member of the Church of Christ in St. Clairsville, where she taught Sunday school for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Edward Swisher Sr.; and a son, Roger Leiffer.
Surviving are four children, Kenneth Swisher Jr. of St. Clairsville, Patricia (Jim) Corder of St. Clairsville, Terry (Tracey) Swisher of Newark, Ohio and Gary (Lisa) Swisher of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; a brother, Clarence David "Butch" Howell of Naples, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Family and Friends will be received on Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Church of Christ, 190 Woodrow Ave., St. Clairsville, OH on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Everett Hutson officiating.
