TOLZDA, Helen, 88, of Powhatan Point, OH, died Sunday, December 30, 2012, at her home.
Helen was born November 26, 1924, in Glen Dale, WV, a daughter of the late Pete and Anna Halchuck Sovich.
She was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, Moundsville, WV.
Precdeding her in death, in addition to her parents, was her husband, Adam Tolzda on November 26, 1994, five brothers and four sisters.
Surviving is a son, David (Janet) Tolzda of Clarington, OH; a daughter, Janice (Ed) Gavarkavich of Martins Ferry, OH; a sister, Margaret (Donnie) Dobbs of Moundsville, WV; five grandchildren, Davida, Edju, Alexie, Seth and Holly; 11 great-grandchildren, Ian, Alyx, Mia, Adam, Zander, Zoey, Avalynn, Aryia, Nicole, Hailee, Alivia; as well as two expected great-great grand, children on the way.
Family and friends will be received Wednesday January 2, 2013 from 2-8 p.m. at the Bauknecht- Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 186 Main Street, Powhatan Point, OH.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Ss. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, 1109 Morton Avenue Moundsville, WV with Very Reverend Michael Zahirsky officiating.
Interment follows in Powhatan Cemetery, Powhatan Point, OH
