Martins Ferry's Lady Riders won for the 10th time in 14 starts following a 63-57 Monday night home court victory over Harrison Central.
Coach Lindsay Coyne's quint edged ahead 17-16 after one period before taking a 31-29 lead to the lockerroom at hafltime. The Lady Huskies faced a 47-39 deficit after three periods.
Ferry ace Jessica Kinney connected for a game-leading 35 points. Kinney's production included 14 buckets and five free throw conversions. Kylie Stalder netted nine points for the Purple.
Harrison sophomore Katie Ellzy topped the visitors with 21 tallies. A trio of Huskies - Jess Custer, Kara Dunfee and Shannon Compher - provided nine-point support.
The Purple's Meghan Rose distributed seven assists. Kylie Stalder passed out five. Shaina Oberdick brought down six rebounds. Ferry remains at home for a Thursday night tipoff against Indian Creek.
Union Local 64, Bellaire 52
AT Bellaire, Union Local's Cori Medley erupted for a season-high 30 points, connecting for 10 field goals and nailing all six of her free throw opportunities. Medley received double digit support from teammates Kayla Doty (13) and Dallas Montag (11).
Union Local took a 14-13 first quarter lead against Marcie Bonar's Lady Reds, then outpointed the hosts 21-6 during a second period uprising for 35-19 halftime command. Bellaire faced a 47-30 deficit after three chapters.
Sophomore Kierstyn Kidder topped Bellaire with a 23-point output. Cari Crozier tallied 11 points in top support. Myleah Green contributed eight counters.
Monday's win elevated UL to 11-4 while Bellaire slipped to to 5-10.
Monroe Central 61, Buckeye Trail 37
AT Old Washington, the Lady Seminoles improved to 9-6 following a decisive victory over the host Warriors.
Monroe was a 9-7 leader after one period and maintained 26-13 command at halftime. The visitors took a 40-28 upperhand to the final eight minutes.
Chelsie Roberts tallied a game-leading 24 points for Monroe. Teammate Chelsey Tewanger provided 13-point support. Kelsey Dick brought down 10 of her team's 33 rebounds. Roberts recorded five steals. Melanie Stimpert and Anne LaFollette distributed three assists apiece.
Monroe returns to Woodsfield for a Thursday night tipoff against Beallsville.

AT RICHMOND, Alexis St. Clair had a game-high 17 points to help lead St. Clairsville past Edison.
Lauren Figura added 16 points for the Red Devils, while Carlee Gillespie had 10.
Maddy Hunter's 12 points led the Wildcats.

AT WINTERSVILLE, Bre Berryman poured in a game-high 22 points as Indian Creek bested Buckeye Local.
Brooke Mains added 13 points for the surging Redskins.
Lauren Swiger hit for 14 points for the Panthers.
Toronto 56, East Richland Christian 21
THE invading Lady Knights jumped on top 14-3 after one period then extended the spread to 24-6 at halftime. Monday's victory elavated Toronto to 8-4 entering tonight's home encounter against Bridgeport.
Mallory Brown's 17 points paced the Red Knights' victory. Brooke Hamm tallied 10 points to pace the Lady Lions.
