Bill and Estie Winland of Shadyside announce the engagement of their daughter, Melissa Marie, to Adam Michael Shallcross, son of Steve and Denise Shallcross of Bellaire.
The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Shadyside High School and a 2004 graduate of Ohio University Eastern with a bachelor of science degree in early childhood education. She received a master of science in elementary mathematics from Nova Southeastern University in 2007. She is employed by the St. Clairsville-Richland City School District as a third grade teacher.
Her fiance is a 2004 graduate of Bellaire High School and a 2008 graduate of Washington and Jefferson College with a bachelor of arts degree in business administration. He is employed by Liberty Distributors as a purchasing agent.
