WHEELING - The Ohio Valley Athletic Conference announced today that Pittsburgh based CONSOL Energy, Inc. has just been added to the OVAC's strong and generous team of Corporate Partners. The Conference recently announced that a new Wheeling-based business, EmbroidMe, became a first time sponsor as well.
These recent additions combined with the other longtime and loyal partners has resulted in a record year for the OVAC in the way of sponsorship revenue.
Without the Corporate Partners the Conference could not continue to provide the experiences and opportunities to its nearly 12,000 student-athletes across the Ohio Valley.
CONSOL Energy will receive a year-long integrated marketing package consisting of stadium signage, television, radio and other advertising platforms during the Conference's 2013-14 marquee games, all-star events and championships.
"The OVAC is and always has been about the kids - first and foremost," stated OVAC Executive Secretary Thomas E. Rataiczak. "We are so grateful for CONSOL, EmbroidMe and all of our Corporate Partners as without them there is no way we could continue to do what we do for our 12,000 girls and boys."
"We are excited to enter into a partnership with the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference that represents many of the schools within CONSOL's operational footprint in Ohio and West Virginia. We support many of these schools throughout the year with grants to their athletic boosters and scholarship programs, and we're proud to give them an added boost through this partnership," commented CONSOL's Community Relations Coordinator, Miranda Kessel.
Scholastic Sports Marketing, LLC of Wheeling, the OVAC's marketing arm since 2004, negotiated these and all of the Conference's partnerships.
"One of the reasons I'm so excited about the partnership between EmbroidMe and the OVAC is that having grown up in the Ohio Valley watching these teams compete, produce world class athletes and excite a tremendous fan base - I can be confident that sponsorship of the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference is an ideal place to showcase the EmbroidMe brand," added EmbroidMe Owner and Franchise Development Agent Rip Dawson.
