The Statue

February 28, 2013
Times Leader

FEBRUARY IS Black History Month, and the statue of a man noted for working on legislation to help the freed slaves has stood for years in front of the Harrison County Courthouse, Cadiz. A strong opponent of slavery, Bingham attended Franklin College in New Athens.
